ASBase encourage users to upload molecules with optical information. After logging in, you are able to create a new molecule entry following the stepwise instructions. Please note that it will take several days for us to review the data after submission. You can track the status of your upload under "Data Management" at the top-right corner.

• General information
This section records the structure and reference information of the compound. The structure can be drawn on the canvas on the right side of the page (cheminformatics users can directly paste SMILES in the text box). To standardize the computer representation of the compound, the structure has to be verified by the "Check Molecule" button before next step. If the structure contains charged group(s) (i.e. quaternary ammonium salt), it is recommended to draw the counterion(s) on the canvas to maintain electrical neutrality of the molecule. Additionally, some coordination bonds might be insufficient to be express by SMILES. This may lead to a loss of some topological information of organometallic compounds. For the reference information, the DOI / patent number will be important for data review and global search. If DOI / patent number is unprovided or invalid, the data will be marked as "Unpublished work" in ASBase.
本页包含化合物的结构信息与参考文献。化合物结构可通过页面右侧的画布绘制,熟悉化学信息学的用户也可直接在对应文本框中粘贴SMILES。为了规范化合物的计算机表达,结构式需通过“Check Molecule”按钮进行校验。 如果结构式中包含季铵盐等带电荷的基团,建议同时在画布中绘制对应的抗衡离子,使分子整体保持电中性。另外,部分配位键较难通过SMILES进行计算机表达,对某些金属有机化合物,有可能损失部分拓扑结构信息。 文献信息部分需填写DOI或专利号。如果未提供DOI或有效专利号,数据在ASBase中将被标注为“Unpublished work”。
• Photophysical information
This section records optical properties for the compound in 4 phases: solution, aggregated, solid, and crystalline state. Currently, the "aggregated" state in ASBase encompasses, but is not limited to, multiple forms such as nanoparticles, gels, and target molecule-biomolecule complexes that result from restriction of intramolecular motions (RIM). In most cases, the "Test solvent" in this section is identical to the solvent which was used in the measurement of all photophysics in solution phase. In this section, at least one absorption maximum wavelength and one emission maximum wavelength data have to be recorded. If the quantum yield (%) and average fluorescence /phosphorescence lifetime (ns) data are available, it is recommended to include them.

• Physicochemical Properties
This section records qualitative data of photostability, thermalstability and solubility of the compound by options of “Yes / No / Unknown”. Photostability: Currently in ASBase, if a compound decomposes in light (under ambient light for 7 days or under UV light for 60 minutes), or if there is a change in molecular structure or spectrum under light, it should be recorded as "No". Thermalstability: Currently in ASBase, the thermalstability if recorded as “Yes” when the compound Td > 200°C. After the release of ASBase V3.0, we will include the Tg, Td and Tm data for compounds.

ASbase Data Submission Policy

The AIEI provides the ASbase archive as a public service. The ASbase archive accepts electronic versions of chemical substance information, photophysical information, and/or associated information. Participation in the ASbase archive is voluntary, and those contributing information are deemed participants in this policy. Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) are provided for the purpose of allowing online users to obtain further information about participant contributed information and includes URLs associated with a given data source, individual chemical substance records, individual photophysical description records, and associated information. Provided URLs within the ASbase archive enable users to link back to a Participant’s web site. URLs provided by the participant to their site(s) will be the main source of acknowledgement by AIEI for contributed information. AIEI reserves the right to change the allowed URL association types and the allowed number of URLs it will accept for use within the PubChem archive. Links from contributed information to records in selected AIEI databases, such as ASbase and others, may be added by AIEI Participants are responsible for ensuring their contributed information content in the ASbase archive contains the current up-to-date version. Failure to keep contributed information up to date may result in a “legacy” designation for the participant, which may entail limiting access to contributed information, including removal from search results. Prior versions of contributed information from a participant may remain publicly accessible in ASbase for the convenience of prior user applications and/or analyses. AIEI reserves the right to modify information provided by a participant for the purpose of providing a consistent representation of all information within the ASbase archive. AIEI may also generate additional derived information from the participant-provided information. ASbase-generated information and the participant-provided information will be made available without cost and without restriction to the public.
